Prompt Studio converts rough ideas, reference images, reference videos, formatting preferences, constraints, and existing prompt drafts into editable prompts for image or video generation.
Quick-start workflow
- Describe what you want to create.
- Optionally add a reference image or video.
- Select Image or Video mode and a prompting style.
- Generate the prompt.
- Use the same request field to describe a change, choose a suggestion, or edit the generated prompt directly.
- Rebuild as needed.
- Copy it or, in the modal, use “Use This Prompt.”
What each input does
Prompt request
Before generation, describe what you want to create. After a prompt exists, use the same field to request a change. Include any subject, action, setting, mood, camera, wardrobe, colors, constraints, exclusions, or required details.
Optional reference image
Optionally upload up to three JPEG, PNG, or WebP images of up to 20 MB each, or enter one image URL up to 2,048 characters. They guide composition, lighting, appearance, and style; use the request field to say what to retain or change.
Optional reference video
Optionally upload one MP4 video up to 50 MB, or enter an HTTP or HTTPS URL up to 2,048 characters. It guides motion, choreography, pacing, and camera behavior; use the request field to say what to retain or change.
Prompting style
Choose a formatting strategy: Tag for compact descriptors; Narrative for natural-language scenes; Instruction for direct requirements; Structured for sections; Cinematic for shots, lenses, lighting, and movement; Screenplay for timed beats and scenes; Character Sheet for consistent identity, views, and poses; or Hybrid for a readable combination.
Prompt mode
Image mode emphasizes composition, lighting, visual detail, and still-image structure. Video mode emphasizes motion, timing, continuity, camera movement, action beats, and progression.
Generated prompt
The generated prompt is editable up to 8,000 characters. Generate again to refine this draft. In the modal, the original page prompt remains unchanged until Use This Prompt is clicked.
Clear, Copy, and Use This Prompt
Clear removes only the selected editable field or complete reference state. Clear all clears the workspace and restores its default mode and style. Copy to Clipboard copies the full-page result. In the modal, Use This Prompt replaces the caller’s prompt; closing the modal leaves it unchanged.
Prompt tools
Guided Prompts
Choose a searchable template, make ordered radio or checkbox selections, preview the result, then append it to or replace the working prompt. In-progress selections are browser-only and remain available until explicitly cleared.
Saved prompts and files
Named saved prompts are stored with your account and can be reused across devices. Export creates a .pcprompt file containing prompt text, request details, style, mode, and guided selections. References, credentials, and temporary analysis data are never exported. Prompt Studio also imports compatible JSON and legacy Clone .wow files; only the legacy prompt text is imported and Clone-only rendering controls are ignored.
History
History is account-persistent and records meaningful events such as generation, guided application, loading, and applying a modal prompt—not every keystroke. Duplicate normalized prompts are refreshed instead of creating repeated rows. You can search, select a full prompt to return it to the Generated prompt field, delete entries, or clear your history.
.pcprompt files contain only the documented versioned prompt state.Prompting style guide
Styles are formatting strategies; they do not select the generation model.
| Style | Best use |
|---|---|
| Tag | Compact, comma-separated visual descriptors |
| Narrative | Natural-language scenes, emotion, and atmosphere |
| Instruction | Direct requirements, edits, constraints, and exclusions |
| Structured | Complex prompts separated into clear sections |
| Cinematic | Shot composition, lenses, lighting, and camera movement |
| Screenplay | Timed beats, multi-shot action, dialogue, and scene progression |
| Character Sheet | Identity, wardrobe, views, poses, expressions, and consistency |
| Hybrid | A readable combination of narrative, structure, and visual tags |
Image prompting guidance
- Lead with the subject and action.
- Describe composition and camera angle.
- Include lighting, visual style, location, color palette, and mood.
- Use reference images for appearance or composition, and state what should change.
- Avoid contradictory visual instructions.
Video prompting guidance
- Describe the opening frame.
- Define subject movement and camera movement separately.
- Use sequential action beats, mentioning pacing and duration where relevant.
- Preserve continuity between beats.
- Use reference video for choreography, movement, or camera behavior.
- Avoid too many unrelated events in a short clip.
Working with reference media
References are analyzed before prompt generation; the reference itself is not the generated result. Explain which aspects to preserve. Changing or clearing a reference invalidates its old analysis, preventing stale analysis from being submitted. Image and video references can be used together.
- Image uploads: up to 3 JPEG, PNG, or WebP files, up to 20 MB each.
- Video uploads: MP4, up to 50 MB.
- Image references may use a valid URL; video references may use an HTTP or HTTPS URL.
Iterating on a generated prompt
Generated prompt is editable. Generate Prompt sends the current result as the existing draft. Small, focused revision requests generally work better than replacing everything. Clearing Generated prompt causes the next generation to start without the prior draft.
Full page versus modal
/prompt-studio is a standalone workspace. The modal opens from another PrivateCloud creation form. Modal generation does not alter the caller’s prompt automatically. “Use This Prompt” replaces the caller field and dispatches input and change events; closing with the X or clicking outside leaves it unchanged; “Clear all” clears the modal workspace.
Tips for better results
- Put the most important subject and action first.
- Be specific about camera placement.
- Separate subject motion from camera motion.
- State what must remain consistent.
- Use the request field for changes and exclusions.
- Iterate in small steps.
- Remove conflicting requirements.
- Match Prompt Mode to the destination workflow.
